An ultrapure water system takes ordinary tap water and produces 18.2 MΩ·cm Type 1 water for analytical instruments, along with the intermediate grades a laboratory uses for glassware, autoclaves, and buffer preparation. Each is available in four builds: standard, UV for low TOC, UF for endotoxin removal, and UVF combining both.

QualiUWS™ C	Single-pass RO, ion exchange	20, 40, or 60 L/h	A 273 mm wide unit at 21 kg with an internal 1.8 L pressure tank and no external tank required. Draws as little as 48 W and suits crowded benches or satellite labs that need Type 1 water in a small footprint.
QualiUWS™ X-RO	Dual-pass RO, ion exchange	13 or 25 L/h	The flagship dual RO model. A second RO pass holds permeate below 5 µS/cm, which extends cartridge life on hard or high-conductivity feed. Five dispensing points, 7-inch touchscreen, and DI water above 17.5 MΩ·cm.
QualiUWS™ L-RO	Dual-pass RO, ion exchange	13 or 25 L/h	The mid-range dual RO build, with a 5-inch touchscreen, three dispensing points, and a 60 L storage tank. Suits laboratories that want the longer consumable life of two RO passes without the multi-arm coverage.
QualiUWS™ E-RO	Dual-pass RO, ion exchange	13 or 25 L/h	The entry point into dual RO. Runs on a 5-inch resistive display with an internal 1.8 L pressure tank, an optional TOC module, and a 120 W draw, keeping both purchase price and running cost down.
QualiUWS™ X-EDI	Dual-pass RO, EDI, ion exchange	10 or 20 L/h	The most capable model in the range. Electrodeionization holds Type 2 water above 15 MΩ·cm continuously with no regenerant chemicals, feeding 5.44 L of polishing resin across five dispensing points.
QualiUWS™ L-EDI	Dual-pass RO, EDI, ion exchange	10 or 20 L/h	The mid-range EDI build. Same continuous Type 2 supply above 15 MΩ·cm on a 5-inch touchscreen with three dispensing points and a 60 L tank.
QualiUWS™ E-EDI	Single-pass RO, EDI, ion exchange	10 or 20 L/h	The lowest-cost route to chemical-free deionization. EDI replaces the second RO pass, so the intermediate grade is specified above 10 MΩ·cm while ultrapure output stays at 18.2 MΩ·cm.

How to Choose the Right Ultrapure Water System

For high daily volume across several benches: choose the QualiUWS™ A or X-RO, which feed five dispensing points from one host.
For a single bench or a crowded lab: choose the QualiUWS™ C, at 273 mm wide with no external tank to place.
For hard or high-conductivity feed water: choose a dual RO model (X-RO, L-RO, E-RO) so the polishing cartridges see a lighter ionic load and last longer.
For a steady Type 2 supply without regenerant chemicals: choose an EDI model (X-EDI, L-EDI, E-EDI), since the resin regenerates electrically as it runs.
For chromatography and mass spectrometry: specify a UV build, which brings TOC down to 2 ppb.
For cell culture, PCR, or IVF: specify a UF build for endotoxin below 0.001 EU/mL with nuclease and protease control.
