Water Vapor Permeability Tester QT-Q413-WVTR Overview
The Q413-Water Vapor Permeability Tester, equipped with a 3-cell Infrared Water Vapor Transmission Rate Analyzer, stands as a high-precision instrument meeting ASTM standard requirements. This cutting-edge tester is specifically designed to evaluate the water vapor transmission rate of samples under defined temperature and humidity conditions.
It is well-suited for assessing the water vapor transmission performance of films, sheets, paper, packaging components, and various materials in sectors such as food, medicine, medical equipment, daily chemicals, photovoltaic electronics, etc. This device serves as an optimal configuration tool for analyzing material barrier properties.

Test Principle:
The Q413-Water Vapor Permeability Tester uses the infrared method principle in its water vapor transmission rate analysis. The pre-treated sample is securely positioned in the center of the test chamber, divided into a high-humidity side and a low-humidity side. Compressed air flows on one side of the film, while dry nitrogen (carrier gas) flows at a fixed rate on the other side. Due to the humidity gradient, water vapor permeates from the high-humidity side to the low-humidity side. The water vapor passing through the sample is transported to the infrared sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen. The water vapor permeability of the sample is precisely determined through the electrical signal output, considering sensor parameters such as overrun.
