Automatic Durometer and Hardness tester for O-Rings and Rubber / Elastomer Samples – Laser Revolution- Drive
Automatic Durometer and Hardness tester for O-Rings and Rubber / Elastomer Samples – Laser Revolution- Drive this hardness tester is designed with advanced features, including a laser centering device, rotating sample holder, and dedicated software for automatic serial measurement of O-rings, technical components, and standardized samples.
State of art technology for hardness testing
This automatic hardness tester provides a highly advanced solution for precisely measuring the hardness of small components and standard samples. To conduct a test, simply:
- Enter the identification details of the pieces to be measured.
- Position the items on the specimen holder disc.
The specimen holder disc begins rotating, allowing the laser centering device to locate the optimal testing point, and the hardness tester performs measurements at the targeted positions. This positioning and measurement process continues automatically, without requiring any operator input, for all items along the measurement line.
The test results are compared against predefined tolerance limits and are saved automatically in the database for easy access and analysis.
Serial hardness testing of standard samples
This instrument allows for multi-point hardness testing on each sample positioned along the test line of the sample holder. The laser system automatically detects the sample's position, ensuring precise and efficient measurement. Users can also set the desired number of tests to be conducted on each sample.
Usable Units
- Compatible with all Shore and IRHD hardness units
Applications
- Product approval and quality control testing
- Process capability analysis

Multiple Test on the sample
International standards require hardness measurements to be conducted at multiple points on each specimen. The software for this instrument allows you to customize the testing process by setting the desired number of tests per sample, specifying the distance from the edge for the first measurement, and defining the spacing between subsequent measurements. This ensures compliance with global standards and enhances measurement accuracy.

Traceability of the results
Simply organize your To-Do List to establish the sequence of products to be tested, and let the instrument take over. The laser precisely locates each sample, carries out the specified number of tests, verifies conformity with preset limits, stores the results, and generates labels or reports as needed. Additionally, it compiles statistics for efficient analysis and reporting, streamlining the entire testing process.

Serial hardness testing of O-Ring and technical articles
With its highly accurate laser and positioning system, this instrument is designed for automatic serial hardness measurement of O-rings and small components ranging from 1 to 12 mm. The laser centering system eliminates human influence in sample positioning, ensuring consistent, reliable results.
Serial Hardness Testing Applications for O-Rings and Technical Components
Usable Units
Applications
- Testing of small parts that are challenging to center manually
- Statistical quality control of finished components
- Mold approval testing

Tests on non-symmetric pieces
The software enables you to scan each piece and define precise measuring points for each product. These settings can then be saved for future testing, allowing for consistent and accurate measurements every time.

Ruby indentor
This advanced Micro IRHD durometer is equipped with a ruby ball indenter, ensuring exceptional durability and performance through:
- Perfect sphericity for accurate indentation
- An impeccable surface finish
- Minimal wear of the ball over time, maintaining consistent accuracy
Accredia Calibration of the instrument
The instrument can be delivered with an ACCREDIA Calibration Certificate, issued by the Accredia-certified laboratory. Calibration is performed in line with the Accredia-approved Technical Procedure and meets ISO 48-2 (IRHD), ISO 48-4 (Shore A), and ISO 868 (Shore D) standards.
Calibration Includes:
- Dimensions of the indenter and annular foot
- Applied forces of the indenter and annular foot
- Indenter displacement
- Test duration
Many instruments in one
The robust quick coupling system enables the measuring head to be swapped out in seconds, maintaining perfect perpendicular alignment with the support base.
Steps for Replacing the Measuring Head:
- Disconnect the connecting cable.
- Unscrew the locking screw.
- Insert the desired head.
- Tighten the locking screw.
- Reconnect the cable.
The instrument automatically detects the new head, making it ready for immediate testing.
Your testing needs
