High Capacity Splitting Machine for Polyurethane, Rubber, Plastics and Elastomers
The QualiRSM™ 520 High Capacity Rubber Splitting Machine divides polyurethane, rubber, plastic, and other elastomer sheets into precise layers for production floors and converting shops. It accepts material up to 550 mm wide and 60 mm thick. A horizontal band knife splits each sheet down to layers as thin as 0.2 mm. Two separate digital displays let the operator set upper and lower layer thickness independently. Every pass holds a 0.1 mm cutting tolerance.
Throughput comes from an inverter-driven feed that moves material at 1 to 20 m/min. The machine positions the knife automatically and compensates for blade wear as the grinding unit sharpens it. Operators spend less time resetting thickness between runs. Self-adjusting knife guide plates and a parallel infeed table keep the cut line flat across the full working width. The result is repeatable sheet thickness from the first pass to the last.
Footwear manufacturers, gasket fabricators, foam converters, and polymer labs use the QualiRSM™ 520 to calibrate sheet stock or recover thin layers from thick slabs. Qualitest supplies this splitting machine with a 3.5 kW drive package on a 1,700 × 1,000 × 1,200 mm frame, powered from a three-phase 400 V supply.
