Laboratory Band Knife Splitting Machine for Rubber and Thermoplastic Test Samples
The QualiRSM™ 300 Laboratory Rubber Splitting Machine cuts thin test pieces of a set thickness from finished rubber and thermoplastic products. Quality and R&D labs use it to pull single layers from hoses, cables, tires, and molded parts. A horizontal band knife splits each sample as steel feed rollers drive it into the edge. A micrometric adjuster sets the split thickness, shown on a 0.01 mm digital display. Pieces up to 300 mm wide and 8 mm thick fit the machine.
Labs often need a flat test piece at a standard thickness, yet finished products arrive curved, layered, or too thick. The QualiRSM™ 300 solves that by removing material in a single, controlled pass down to 0.5 mm. It handles compounds from 30 to 75 Shore A, which covers most soft and medium-hard rubbers. Three feed speeds let the operator match the cut to the material. The result is a uniform test piece ready for die cutting and physical testing.
The machine supports test piece preparation under ASTM D3183 and ISO 23529, plus cable layer sampling under EN 60811-1-1 and IEC 60811-1-1. Built-in blade sharpening, automatic lubrication, and an optical bevel check keep the cut quality steady over long sample runs. CE-compliant guards and safety switches protect the operator.
