Geotextile Cone Drop Testers
Geotextile Cone Drop Testers | EN ISO 13433 Dynamic Perforation Testing
Geotextile cone drop testers measure how well geosynthetic materials resist penetration by a steel cone released from a fixed height, following the dynamic perforation method defined in EN ISO 13433. The technician clamps a specimen, drops a 1 kg cone from 500 mm, and reads the diameter of the hole it leaves. Smaller holes indicate tougher fabric.
Qualitest supplies three frames built on identical test geometry: an automatic station for production throughput, a manual unit for general laboratory work, and a compact model for constrained floor plans. Every version carries the 45° stainless steel cone, the 150 mm clamping ring, and the graduated measuring cone the method calls for.
