Geotextile Thickness Gauges
A geotextile thickness gauge measures nominal thickness under a defined pressure. Compressible fabrics have no single thickness, so the pressure has to be stated alongside the result. ASTM D5199 covers nominal thickness of geosynthetics. ISO 9863 covers thickness at specified pressures, with a second part for single layers inside multilayer products.
Qualitest supplies six configurations. They run from lever gauges with no power connection to servo-driven platforms covering seven test modes. Producers use them for lot release against published data sheets. Laboratories use them where a thickness value feeds a permeability or conformity calculation.
