Wire and Cable Horizontal Flame Tester QualiFlame-UL2556 is a precision horizontal flame tester for wire and cable, featuring automated PLC controls, adjustable flame settings, accurate temperature measurement, and a spacious electrostatic-sprayed chamber with safety features like a sealed glove operation and exhaust system, ensuring reliable and efficient testing.

Temperature measurement system

• A thermal sensor featuring a copper tubing and thermocouple structure should utilize high-conductivity electrolytic copper with a length of 19.14 ± 0.02 mm.
• The K-type thermocouple has a 0.5 mm stainless steel sleeve.
• A K-type digital temperature meter is used for temperature readings.
• The testing system is designed to measure temperature dynamically. Place the sensor in the testing chamber, and the system will automatically record the temperature and time.

Apparatus and Fixtures

• The fixtures include a test stand and a burner assembly.
• The burner has a diameter of 9.5 ± 0.5 mm, a fire outlet diameter of 0.90 ± 0.03 mm, and a burner pipe length of 102 mm. The air supply is adjustable.
• The flame height is also adjustable. Standard specifications require a total flame height of 125 ± 10 mm, with the blue inner flame measuring 40 ± 2 mm. The flame test angle can be adjusted from 0° to 45°.
• A specialized gas flowmeter with a precise needle valve controls the gas flow.
  The sample holder is constructed from stainless steel.
• The system includes a high-voltage electronic ignition and an automatic gas supply cutoff for enhanced safety.
• A wedge-shaped frame is used to secure the burner. The burner is installed within the wedge, allowing for easy movement and precise repositioning to the defined location.

• PLC with touch screen smart control systems implement test process automation.
• Customers free to set test time.
• FT2 Horizontal burning test mode.
• An experimental system automatically calculates and stores the test data.
• Burning settings: 0-999.99 seconds to set freely.
• To stop burning set: 0-999.99 seconds to set freely.
• Burning count: 0-999 seconds to set freely.
